Let’s face it – no one wants to have to work around the architectural constraints of conventional forced-air heating systems, whether they be boiler baseboards, radiators, or even heating vents. One of the best parts about underfloor heating is that it’s truly invisible – no evidence that it’s there, except for the nice, even blanket of warmth exuding from the floor when you need it.
Of course, the open floor plan doesn’t get its popularity due to the number of rooms but rather the way that those spaces function within the larger whole. If you’re one to prefer privacy and, perhaps, greater organization (e.g., more built-ins and storage), having fewer rooms with which to work could put your space at a disadvantage.
A bathroom with a marble floor doesn’t need any other marble features to look elegant although a matching counter could look chic and stylish. Make sure to emphasize the floor and avoid covering it up with lots of furniture or fixtures.
